They asked him, “How’s your life?”
He smiled and answered, “She’s fine.”

Did you know that Starbucks has a secret menu? Well, they do. And if you already knew, maybe you’ve tried Jacob’s favorite Starbucks drink: the Harry-Potter-inspired Butter Beer.

We’re here tonight congratulating Jacob and Heather. A unique couple in love paired together by Schnucks. (Wait—what?) That’s right, they met at work. They have both since moved on and advanced their careers, with Jacob in the insurance industry and Heather recently graduating from Missouri State with a BFA in Drawing (She’s the artistic one 😉🎨); but they will never forget good ole’ Schnucks. Fun fact: Jacob trained Heather at Schucks — the icebreaker necessary to break through Heather’s shy personality, leading them down a path to friendship and, ultimately, marriage.

…Well, actually, it led them UP a path… a mountain path to a Colorado summit, where he proposed. Which is why we absolutely loved their engagement story, as the mountains hold a special place in our hearts, too. Jacob and Heather love hiking, and noted that a few of their favorite Missouri hikes include Taum Sauk Trail (a 12.3-mile section of the larger Ozark Trail), Johnson's Shut-Ins, and Elephant State Park. But this fascinating couple apparently left their hearts in the Colorado Rockies, as evidenced by their plan to move there.

The good news is, this couple is on top of wedding planning, driven by Jacob’s attention to detail. Heather even believes Jacob would dominate “Don't Tell the Bride”, the BBC show where the groom plans the wedding from start to finish. (Side Poll: Would you trust your fiancé to plan your wedding start to finish!?!?!? Let us know in the comments — for fun!!!)

Check out their engagement session at Eckert’s Farm in Belleville, Illinois, and help us congratulate this couple as they venture down a new life trail!

Family Portrait Session at The Nature Institute in Godfrey, Illinois

We LOVE any time we get to spend with our close friends Nick and Katie and their beautiful family!

Nick and Katie proposed The Nature Institute in Godfrey, Illinois for their family portraits, which made for a spectacular photo spot. If you’re a hiker or just love the outdoors, check out this hidden gem. We explored two areas, known as the Olin Nature Preserve and the Mississippi Sanctuary, totaling over 300 acres of land. The area features multiple overlooks and several hiking trails.

We’re confident you’ll love the area! Just don’t bring your dogs! 😳🐶🚫

This family is very special to us. Chris and Nick go wayyy back. Probably too far back. In fact, Nick and Chris were roomies for four years in college. Yikes! Chris met Katie through Nick back in high school, and they also worked together years ago. (If I’m not mistaken, Nick declared his love for Katie back in high school. Fate.) Last but certainly not least, Tiffany and Ava began their friendship in Michigan after Ava declared Tiffany was her best friend.

We’ve really enjoyed watching Nick and Katie’s sweet little family grow, and we’re anxious to share their photos with you. They have three incredibly adorable children that are constantly on the go! They’d give the Energizer Bunny a run for his money. Kudos, Nick and Katie, for your stamina.

During the session, energy levels were so high that we had to bribe Ava and Isaac with M&M’s and sour gummy worms! Every few shots 📸, we rewarded them with a piece of candy. Isaac quickly informed us that he really only likes the blue gummy worms! Thanks for the heads up, buddy.

(Sorry, Nick and Katie, for the sugar high! 😂)

Your kiddos, Ava, Isaac, and Layla are so beautiful and we loved the laughter they carried throughout the session.

We are so grateful for friends like you in our lives!

Much Love // Tiffany & Chris

Ryan & Cheryl's Engagement Session at Creve Coeur Lake

Ryan & Cheryl's Engagement Session at Creve Coeur Lake

This lovely evening was all about Ryan and Cheryl! We were blessed with phenomenal weather for their engagement session at Creve Coeur Lake in Maryland Heights, St. Louis, Missouri. They have been dating since high school and their wedding is set for October 19, 2018 at Defiance Ridge Vineyard!! We just love October weddings and can't wait for their big day!

Tower Grove Park Portraits with the Davis Family!

Introducing the Davis family!!

This wonderful family of three drove over an hour for their family portrait session at Tower Grove Park in St. Louis!! And as you'll see below, they picked the perfect day because the trees were bursting with vibrant fall colors.

Andy and Holly are the proud parents of a charming young man--Grant. We definitely had a blast, but the best part of the day was Grant's jokes: "What do you call a three-legged cow? Tri Tip." ...  "What do you call a two-legged cow? Lean Beef." ... "What do you call a one-legged cow?  Steak."

Thank you, Davis family, for placing your trust in Amber Mark Photography to capture your family's love and memories!

Much Love,

Tiffany & Chris

Ryan's Class of 2018 Senior Portraits!

Hello, world!

Meet Ryan, graduating Class of 2018. CONGRATULATIONS RYAN!!!

Ryan is one of five of Tiffany's younger brothers. He's a charming man with a very bright future. (And an amazing catch for a lucky woman one day!) We weren't able to pry out his future career plans, but we learned a ton of his interests -- one being photography! :)

This was such an exciting morning!! It was a simultaneous double-header senior portrait session (is that possible?) for both Ryan and his brother, Nathan.

Look for Nathan's senior session coming soon! We'll post a link here when it's up, but don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram too!!

First stop: Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, Missouri! The trees here were BURSTING with color!! We are so thankful we were able to capture the beauty before the leaves fall.

Although it was an overcast morning, there was plenty of light for this good-looking man to showcase his smile for a couple hours!!

Brick buildings were also on Ryan's list so we perused the street scene in Lafayette Square ... But first ... priorities! We made a pitstop at Park Avenue Coffee for some espresso and coffees! (Great place, BTW! Check them out!)

On the way to Lafayette Square, though, we veered from the plan (and the road) for a moment (SQUIRREL!!!) for some awesome pictures at the Compton Hill Reservoir Park!!

Don't forget to keep an eye out for Ryan's brother Nathan's senior portrait session too! We'll post a link here when it's up!

We're so excited and grateful for your interest in Amber Mark Photography!! You can really help us out by leaving your thoughts in the blog comments and by following us on Facebook and Instagram!!

Have a phenomenal weekend!!
