Ryan + Cheryl
Defiance Ridge Vineyards Wedding
Defiance, MO
2018
Defiance Ridge Vineyards is beautifully nestled within the rolling hills of Missouri Wine Country, less than an hour away from St. Louis. Cheryl decided during dinner with her grandmother at Defiance Ridge Vineyards that she would have her wedding there one day.
The open vineyards highlighted Ryan and Cheryl’s emotion during their first look. This was Cheryl’s most anticipated moment of the day — the moment she saw Ryan for the first time. The moment that Ryan turned around to lay eyes on the love of his life in her wedding dress. It was so precious and made us both shed tears. In fact, we shed tears during their wedding day more than once! Cheryl’s second anticipated moment was to walk down the aisle with her father, Jeff — another very special man in her life. The bond that they share is so sweet.
We loved every piece of Ryan and Cheryl’s wedding, especially the outdoorsy, country, homey feel, as well as the importance of family and friends to all involved. We felt right at home and a part of the family that day.
To circle back briefly, although Ryan said his most anticipated moment was relaxing the next day, don’t let his words fool you… Just take a look for yourself. The pictures don’t lie. Ryan couldn’t hide his deeply genuine smile and true love for Cheryl throughout the day, especially during their first look. (Perhaps Ryan did get his wish to relax the next day, as they recently had completed construction on and moved into their new home in St. Charles, Missouri!)
There was so much to love about their day, from the beautiful vineyards (of course), and the bridal suite at the winery farmhouse (stunning!), to the cookie/favor table, the glow sticks for guests during reception, and the bonfire and S’mores out back!
OH! We almost forget our FAVORITE detail: Cheryl’s bouquet! (PS- Petal Pushers STL did a FABULOUS job arranging it!) Her bouquet featured a pin with several special pieces dear to her heart! For something old, she had a picture of her two-year-old self; a blue hockey note for something blue (HUGE Blues fans, in case you missed their engagement session!); for something borrowed, a pearl earring from her mother, Kathy; Additionally, she had two pictures of loved ones who were dear to her! Lastly, her necklace is her something new!
Ryan and Cheryl, we wish you a blessed and extraordinary marriage! CONGRATULATIONS!
